The 2025 FootGolf League season is officially underway, and Ayrshire FootGolf Club has made a statement in our opening match with a commanding 188.5 - 35.5 victory over newcomers Alba. From start to finish, our squad displayed the skill, experience, and determination that have made us a force to be reckoned with in Scottish footgolf.
Facing a new club in Alba, we knew they would be eager to prove themselves, but our team came out firing on all cylinders. In stroke play, we had nine players in the top 10 showcasing our depth and consistency. Every one of our players delivered, ensuring we dominated from the outset.
In match play, our performance was nothing short of flawless. We won every matchup except for one that ended in a draw, further cementing our status as the team to beat this season. This level of performance sets a strong precedent for the rest of the campaign as we aim to retain our titles and continue our reign at the top of Scottish FootGolf.
A special mention goes to the entire squad for their focus and execution throughout the day. Whether it was sinking crucial putts, nailing precise approaches, or holding nerve in head-to-head battles, every player contributed to this emphatic win.
